Evening Licensed Practical Nurse

As a prominent nonprofit senior living provider, we are looking for skilled Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to contribute to our mission of fostering joy and tranquility in our community.
This role involves ensuring high-quality care through effective staff oversight, communication with physicians, care planning, and daily monitoring of residents. You will also provide direct care to residents, adhering to established nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse:
- Guide and supervise nursing assistants to maintain exceptional nursing care standards.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new LPNs/LVNs and nursing assistants, reinforcing training protocols.
- Clarify nursing procedures and support staff to ensure continuous understanding and skill development.
- Maintain regular communication with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding resident observations and concerns.
- Assess and report on residents' health and emotional well-being, notifying physicians and families as necessary.
- Deliver direct patient care, including procedures such as catheter management, colostomy care, and wound dressing.
- Participate in shift reports to ensure accurate information exchange about residents.
- Assist with the admission and orientation of new residents, ensuring proper communication of physician orders.
- Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
- Current, valid LPN/LVN license in good standing.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
