As a prominent nonprofit senior living provider, we are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support our mission of fostering joy and tranquility for our residents and their families.

This role is essential in ensuring that high-quality care is maintained through effective staff oversight, communication with physicians, care planning, and daily monitoring of residents. The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse will also provide direct care to residents, adhering to established nursing standards, procedures, and regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily activities and guide nursing assistants on the unit to ensure exceptional nursing care and task completion.
  • Facilitate the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants, reinforcing training standards to uphold quality care.
  • Provide clarity on nursing procedures and support staff to ensure ongoing understanding and skill development.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, concerns, and resident activities.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health, mental, and emotional well-being, promptly notifying appropriate staff of significant changes.
  • Deliver direct patient care, including procedures such as catheter placement, colostomy care, suctioning, dressing changes, and nasogastric tube management.
  • Participate in shift reports to ensure accurate information about residents is shared.
  • Assist with the admission and orientation of new residents, ensuring physician orders for diets, therapy, and medications are accurately transcribed and communicated.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
  • Current, valid LPN/LVN license in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • Commitment to the principles and standards of professional nursing.
