We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Labor and Delivery nurse to join our team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will possess current certifications in BLS AHA and NRP, with a preference for AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications.

Job Details

This is a high-risk labor and delivery unit that also sees high-risk antepartum patients. Travel nurses will be asked to provide information about their previous unit experience, travel end date, and comfort level working in the unit without additional orientation. This will help determine the number of unit orientations required.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have at least 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience and provide 2 supervisory references from within the last year. Charge nurses are not eligible.

Schedule and Unit Information

This is a 12-hour night shift position in a 4-bay triage unit that sees patients from 20 weeks to postpartum within 6 weeks. The unit also has 3 operating rooms and 2 bay PACU, as well as 12 labor rooms. Staffing is based on AWOHNN guidelines.

Additional Details

Please note that if you have previously worked at OHSU, please include this in your submittal notes. Former OHSU employees must be away from any OHSU facility for at least 6 months before returning. The credentialing process takes approximately 4 weeks, and orientation is requested 2 weeks in advance.
