Job Description

GE Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as a Military Engines Overhaul Business Leader. This role will be responsible for leading operations at Strother Field Kansas, overseeing the planning and execution of engine overhauls for various models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Act as a safety ambassador, champion a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Foster clear and respectful communication among team members and other departments, establish effective communication channels with key stakeholders, and demonstrate strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Leadership, Strategy, & Execution: Lead the military engines overhaul team to achieve targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost, develop and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and policy formulation, and foster a positive working environment that encourages continuous improvement and employee empowerment.
  • Financial: Conduct regular reviews of expenses and plan capacity accordingly, ensure compliant asset management, and maintain appropriate inventory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the Aviation industry.
  • Knowledge of inspection and maintenance methods related to aerospace engine repairs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
