About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Master Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostic repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support.
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions.
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Coach and mentor junior technicians to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation to track and manage work orders.
  • Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines, including safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, or post-secondary degree, preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience, preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred.
  • All other certifications required by location.
