Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
- Perform advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs and diesel after treatment
- Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- Coach and mentor other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
- Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Four years or more relevant work experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
- All other certifications as required by location
