Oncology Account Manager

The Oncology Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals and market share targets in their assigned territory through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of key customer relationships. These customers include oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, oncology nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate technical, therapeutic, and product information to customers to promote the appropriate use of approved products within the territory.
  • Utilize effective selling techniques and marketing strategies to create and expand demand for promoted brands.
  • Develop and coordinate physician advocates for promoted oncology products.
  • Arrange and coordinate promotional programs within regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct field activities, including customer in-services and tumor boards.
  • Work as a resource for various oncology organizations, teaching institutions, and healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate regularly with the team, area business director, and internal/external partners to optimize resources and exceed customer expectations.
  • Comply with all regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Complete expense reports and other required administrative tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Attend training programs, conventions, and symposia.
  • Develop and maintain a territory analysis and business plan to achieve sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of biotech/pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of oncology or specialty pharmaceutical experience with established customer relationships.
  • Strong track record of hitting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to think strategically and apply tactics to support the strategy.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • In-depth product and territory knowledge within the oncology therapeutic marketplace.
  • Ability to travel for territory coverage and company meetings.
