We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at InterMed. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound exams, obtaining medical history, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.
Essential Functions- Perform high-quality ultrasound exams, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, including relevant medical conditions and medications.
- Collaborate with radiologists to review images and ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Monitor and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training.
- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
- Completion of a recognized AMA school of sonography or equivalent.
- National certification (RDMS) and current experience in diagnostic medical sonography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
36 hours per week, with 4, 9-hour shifts. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
