Job Summary

Rogers Freels & Associates Inc is seeking a skilled Structural Test Engineer to join our engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing structural testing for continuous improvement and new product development projects.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $60,000-$96,000, commensurate with experience. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design engineers and structural analysts to plan structural testing for continuous improvement and new product development projects.
  • Work with component responsible engineers to gather test requirements, to ensure testing will validate design requirements.
  • Lead planning, documentation, and execution of test campaigns.
  • Design test stands and fixtures including their mechanical, fluid, and electrical components.
  • Perform all necessary design, analysis, and project management to execute tests with minimal support.
  • Setup and operate data acquisition equipment to measure and record test parameters (strain gages, pressure transducers, accelerometers etc.).
  • Analyze data and complete written test reports to document results.
Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant structural testing or analysis experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
Desired Attributes
  • Experience with structural validation tools and processes.
  • Experience with metal fabrication and materials.
  • Experience with construction and/or agricultural equipment.
  • Experience with fatigue analysis software such as nCode.
  • Prior experience with Data Acquisition Systems - Dewesoft preferred.
  • Experience in 3-D Modeling Software - SolidWorks Preferred.
