Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our experienced physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and examine patients, including obtaining history and physical, and developing and implementing a plan of care.
- Participate in daily rounds on assigned patients and document peri-procedural care plans.
- Assist in invasive and interventional cardiac procedures, including scrubbing in and providing peri-procedural management.
- Provide coverage for device interrogations and manage inpatient and outpatient referrals for invasive and/or interventional cardiac procedures.
- Coordinate transfers and direct admits with referring centers for cardiovascular disease patients.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding cardiovascular procedures and provide education on cardiovascular health.
- Collaborate with the entire cardiology team, as well as cardiovascular surgery team and other disciplines, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Master's degree in any discipline or a bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Successfully passed the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) or currently in the process of taking the exam.
- Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia.
- Two years of successful practice as a PA or successful completion of a PA post-graduate residency program sponsored by VHA Office of Academic Affiliations or other postgraduate residency programs accredited by VA, ARC-PA, U.S. Armed Forces, or another accrediting agency.
- A doctoral degree in a health-related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Full-time, 8am- 4:30pm (Work Schedule may be discussed with hiring manager)
