Job Summary:

The Vice President of Operations will oversee the strategic and operational leadership of Table 87 Frozen's manufacturing, supply chain, and sales functions. This executive will champion operational excellence, efficiency, and growth across all business facets. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in food manufacturing, a comprehensive understanding of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector, and a proven history of managing and scaling operations. We seek an individual who is driven to expand a company and eager to leverage their expertise to help us achieve our ambitious objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Formulate and execute innovative operational strategies that align with the company’s overarching goals and growth ambitions.
  • Collaborate with the ownership and management team to advance the organizational vision, mission, strategy, and staffing requirements.
  • Identify and assess new growth avenues, including emerging markets, product lines, and partnerships.
  • Craft actionable business strategies, objectives, and plans that ensure alignment with both short- and long-term goals developed in conjunction with the owner.

2. Manufacturing Operations:

  • Supervise all manufacturing activities to guarantee efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices in production planning, scheduling, and inventory oversight.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Enhance manufacturing workflows to boost productivity and minimize waste.

3. Supply Chain Management:

  • Devise and manage the supply chain strategy, encompassing sourcing, procurement, and logistics.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key suppliers and distributors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure optimal terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and evaluate supply chain performance, pinpointing areas for enhancement.

4. Sales and Distribution:

  • Oversee sales operations with a strong emphasis on driving sales growth and expanding market share.
  • Develop and implement aggressive sales strategies to meet revenue objectives.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key distributors.
  • Oversee direct sales initiatives, broker management, and distributor partnerships to maximize sales outcomes.
  • Establish effective sales processes and performance metrics to monitor progress and adjust strategies as necessary.

5. Financial Management:

  • Develop and oversee budgets for all operational divisions.
  • Monitor financial performance, focusing on cost control and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to create financial forecasts and reports.
  • Implement financial procedures and organizational policies to enhance the company’s operational capabilities.
  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives.

6. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.

  • Ensure clear communication and collaboration across all departments.
  • Strategically manage, organize, and coordinate employees from various departments to ensure efficiency.

7. Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the highest standards of product quality and consistency.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.
  • Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly and effectively.

8. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

9. Business Development:

  • Measure and analyze current revenue streams, offerings, and relationships to optimize business growth and revenue strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other professionals and organizations in the industry.
  • Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies in collaboration with management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Food Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of executive-level experience in food manufacturing and operations.
  • Proven track record of success in the CPG industry, specifically in managing and scaling manufacturing operations.
  • Extensive experience with supply chain management, including sourcing, procurement, and logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of sales operations, direct sales, broker management, and distributor relationships.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the food manufacturing industry.
