Job Summary:

Children's Aid Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to provide care and support to children in our Crisis Nursery/Respite Care Center on Saturday nights.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide primary physical, emotional, and social care for children
Develop and lead children's play group activities, promoting positive engagement and developmentally appropriate activities
Act as a positive role model, utilizing redirection and positive reinforcement methods
Write comprehensive progress notes, phone call logs, and reports
Conduct intakes and discharges, as needed, and respond to 24-hour crisis hotline calls
Attend 40 hours of paid training annually to enhance skills

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred
1 year of verifiable, paid childcare experience
Satisfactory Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Background Check, FBI Criminal Background Check, and National Sex Offender Registry check
Childcare Certificate or Education preferred but not required
Health screening physical and TB screening
