About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our corporate Information Security team at The MITRE Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping us demonstrate technical innovation while preserving our corporate defenses against Advanced Persistent Threats (APT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead security reviews of Internet-facing prototypes and services
  • Guide corporate IT in co-engineering secure corporate architectures and systems
  • Advise sponsor projects on implementing strong, MITRE-compliant security
  • Assess the security and/or vulnerability of deployed systems using tools and adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
  • Review vendor and supply chain security to present assessments to MITRE management
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of basic information security concepts
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to decompose complex technical problems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with risk management methodology and assessment tools
  • Host-level system administration and security knowledge
  • Application-level security knowledge and ability to manually test and create proof of concept exploits
  • Mobile security knowledge and experience with public cloud platforms
Clearance Requirements

This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of a Secret clearance.
