Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Cadre Technologies Services LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security and a proven track record of identifying and mitigating complex IT technical threats.

Responsibilities:

* Identify and mitigate complex IT technical threats to computer systems, networks, and data.
* Use technical IT tools and software to monitor, analyze, and defend against cyber threats.
* Monitor and analyze network traffic, configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and conduct vulnerability assessments.
* Manage and protect endpoints such as desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices from malware, ransomware, and other threats.
* Investigate security incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
* Utilize SIEM tools to collect, correlate, and analyze security event data for threat detection and responses.
* Monitor and analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors to proactively defend against cyber threats.
* Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
* Keep abreast of the latest security, privacy, and regulatory concerns and best practices impacting third-party risk management.
* Advise the agency on any changes requested by third parties to security and privacy provisions of agreements or contracts.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science.
* Industry-recognized certification within the domains of information security and privacy.
* Minimum of 8+ years of experience working in an IT or computer-related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of hands-on technical experience in cloud security.
* At least 3 years of experience with cloud cybersecurity efforts and emerging technology aligned with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in the design and implementation of effective information security controls with minimal oversight.
* Acute attention to detail with a high level of data integrity.
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks.
* Ability to work both on-site and remotely.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Cloud security certifications such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
* Experience with cloud security tools and technologies.
* Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
