Surgical Technician Job Description

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Job Summary

The Surgical Technician will assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room and equipment
  • Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth procedure execution
Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technician program
  • 1 year of experience as a surgical technician (preferred)
  • BLS certification
  • Surgical Technology Certification (preferred)
