Job Summary

Darigold is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our Portland Plant team. The ideal candidate will possess the desire and ability to maintain and repair all plant equipment, ensuring successful maintenance and repair of plant machinery and supporting special projects within the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, assemble, and test new and existing production machinery and equipment.
  • Understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
  • Monitor, identify, and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery.
  • Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
  • Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness.
  • Usage of a CMMS to schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
  • Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. routinely / frequently and be able to sit, stand or climb or walk for 8 hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and maintain equipment and records.
  • Strong team/verbal/written skills are required.
  • Able to work in a loud environment.
  • Must be available to work any shift.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite and applications, ability to utilize electronic communication effectively.
  • Experience troubleshooting: PLC's, controls instrumentation (limited).
  • Formal education in a related field - prefer Associates degree in mechanical, electrical or engineering a plus.
