Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Summer Camp Counselor at Bob Jones University. As a key member of our summer program, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and spiritually enriching environment for our campers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead activities for children aged 2nd to 8th grade, promoting their physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.
  • Supervise children's play, ensuring their physical safety and well-being.
  • Guide children's behavior and social development, fostering a positive and supportive community.
  • Maintain a clean, appealing, and safe environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Perform basic first aid in emergencies, providing prompt and effective care.
  • Lead daily devotions with campers, sharing biblical values and principles.
  • Build meaningful relationships with campers, parents, and staff, promoting a sense of belonging and connection.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University.
  • Observant, active, and able to use sound judgment and initiative.
  • Willing to accept responsibility and work cooperatively with others.
  • Patient and understanding, with a strong ability to relate to children and their parents.
  • Able to create, organize, and lead a variety of activities that cater to diverse abilities and interests.
