Job Title: General Manager

At Goldfish Swim School, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our swim school. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the success and quality of our programs, while providing exceptional customer service to our members and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure compliance with Goldfish Swim School's standard operating procedures.
  • Manage and train staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to our students.
  • Collaborate with Deck Supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training.
  • Provide sales and marketing training for qualified sales staff.
  • Manage the retail and vending department, including inventory control and pricing.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to ensure adherence to Goldfish Swim School's standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of scheduling software to optimize bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
  • Ensure a safe and sanitary swimming environment by maintaining knowledge and experience in Goldfish Swim School's pool operations.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace employee activities to improve employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally in the aquatics and management field.
  • Schedule staff and approve timesheets for Regional Manager to manage payroll.
  • Promote special events and market the Goldfish brand.
  • Collaborate with Regional Manager on partnerships, influencer packages, marketing, social media, community brand awareness, quality control, safety protocols, staff training, programming, sales, services, and operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent desired.
  • Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or aquatics instructor/supervisor preferred.
  • Three to five years of management experience preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications required.
Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
