Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Danbury Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work closely with our medical team to assess and treat patients, and provide education to patients and families on disease management and treatment options.
Responsibilities:
Manage ventilator rounds and provide critical care to patients
Assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary compromise
Draw arterial blood gases and analyze results
Perform non-invasive mask ventilation and manage neonate and surgical patients on ventilators
Educate patients on disease management and treatment options
Respond to trauma alerts and code situations
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
CPR - Healthcare Provider certification
Ventilator management skills for adults and NICU
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position working nights at Danbury Hospital. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. You will also be exposed to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
Salary:
$ shift differentials hourly. Danbury Hospital offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
