Emergency Department Support Specialist

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provide essential support in patient care tailored to individual requirements, operating within the defined scope of practice under the direct oversight of a registered nurse or physician.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is mandatory.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Prior experience as an Emergency Department Technician, Medical Assistant, or Nursing Assistant is preferred.
- BCLS certification is essential.
LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
One of the following certifications is necessary:
- B-EMT,
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program,
- Graduation from a formal nursing education program to practice as an RN offshore,
- Graduation from a formal medical education program to practice as a medical doctor offshore.
- EMT license is preferred.
Successful completion of a designated orientation period is required.
