Program Overview

The Hampton Roads Community Action Program is seeking a highly skilled Reentry Program Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in delivering reentry services to individuals and families in need.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of reentry principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With a strong background in case management and program coordination, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing service plans, and connecting clients with community resources.

Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to promote self-sufficiency
  • Connect clients with community resources, including employment services, housing assistance, and healthcare
  • Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to coordinate services and resources
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in social services, preferably in a case management or program coordination role
  • Strong knowledge of community resources, social services, and reentry programs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $$60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
