Family Violence Support Practitioner

Position Overview
Utilize your expertise in family violence to assist Affected Family Members throughout their legal proceedings. In this role, you will engage with applicants in individual sessions to evaluate their immediate non-legal requirements, perform risk assessments, and develop safety plans. You will also provide essential information and connect applicants with external service providers as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with various stakeholders, including the Judiciary, Court Registrars, and community organizations.
- Implement the MARAM framework and share pertinent risk-related information in accordance with the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme to enhance the safety and risk management for Affected Family Members.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification in a therapeutic field such as social work, psychology, or social sciences, along with demonstrated experience and understanding of family violence, including its drivers, risks, and contributing factors.
Additionally, you will have strong skills in providing support, managing crises, conducting risk assessments, and engaging effectively with stakeholders.
