We are seeking an Experienced Sales Closer in Construction Materials who will be tasked with promoting a diverse range of our construction products through the successful attainment of opportunity-driven sales. The Outside Sales Representative will achieve business objectives by effectively managing assigned territories and conducting in-person visits to client and contractor locations. This role also involves cultivating ongoing, profitable relationships with clients while consistently upholding professionalism, integrity, enthusiasm, and exceptional communication with both internal and external stakeholders. There is potential to earn well over $100k with a structured bonus system. This is a performance-driven role.

Key Responsibilities for the Sales Representative/Experienced Sales Closer:

  • Achieve target sales by engaging with clients and nurturing relationships.
  • Propose service and product improvements to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Evaluate plans and trends to ensure optimal allocation of territories, clients, and service distribution.
  • Maintain technical and professional expertise by reviewing industry publications, participating in professional networks, and fostering enduring client relationships.
  • Set sales goals by forecasting expected sales volumes.
  • Stay informed about economic indicators, evolving trends, supply and demand fluctuations, and product variations.
  • Contribute positively to the overall sales and customer service teams.
  • Document client interactions and maintain records related to activities, accounts, and vendor partnerships.
  • Develop and collaborate on both long-term and short-term sales strategies.

Qualifications for the Sales Representative/Experienced Sales Closer in Construction Materials:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of outside sales or direct contractor sales experience in Construction Materials (experience with lumber, roofing, drywall, steel framing, or windows preferred).
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Capability to multitask and plan effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in the market.
  • Ability to identify client needs and sell from the product catalog.
  • Experience in budget development.
  • Skills in process and people management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
