Job Description

Job Title: Technical Architect

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of large-scale, distributed Java-based applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based solutions, distributed platforms, and software design patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design end-to-end solutions across cloud-based solutions and distributed platforms
  • Implement and maintain large, distributed Java-based applications and microservices
  • Envision and define the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements
  • Provide direction, guidance, and definition of IT Platform architecture to support clients' IT and business strategy
  • Support all architectural disciplines and champion architectural initiatives
  • Review existing business processes and establish metrics to improve business processes
  • Align architecture strategy with business goals and develop and communicate architectural policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
  • Lead teams in developing technology plans and collaborate with project management and team leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Java/Spring Boot, microservices development experience
  • 10+ years of full lifecycle development experience
  • 5+ years of experience using Cloud/opensource and Bigdata technologies, including AWS, Java/J2EE, Spring, Data Bricks, Kafka, WebServices, Microservices, MySQL, Dockers, Kuberneties
  • 5+ years of experience leading solutions architecture for data-intensive and high-throughput platforms and applications
  • Experience in Microservices architecture, system design, relational and PostgreSQL database experience, Docker containerization, Kubernetes, cloud and virtualized systems
  • Implementation of AWS architecture concepts and knowledge of architectural design patterns, performance tuning, database and functional designs
  • Hands-on experience in Service-Oriented Architecture and ability to lead solution development and delivery for design solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing high-level and low-level documents
  • Awareness of latest technologies and trends
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading changes in large teams using Agile practices
  • Knowledgeable in Insurance domain industry standard patterns and practices
