Job Title: GCP Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team at DataFielder Inc.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, architecting, and implementing cloud solutions, particularly in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the migration of applications and workloads from AWS and other cloud environments to GCP, ensuring improved efficiency, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Design and implement applications migration strategies from AWS EKS to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters, optimizing performance and reducing operational costs.
  • Conduct comprehensive GCP assessments to estimate costs and facilitate strategic planning, including datacenter exits and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Utilize Terraform, PowerShell, and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning automation and configuration management.
  • Perform Cloud Assessment and Strategy for migrating existing AWS environments to GCP.
  • Re-architect applications to align with GCP services and best practices.
  • Design and configure network architecture in GCP, including VPC, subnets, VPN, and interconnect options.
  • Develop end-to-end automation solutions, integrating tools like GitHub, Bamboo, Maven, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
  • Implement FinOps best practices to achieve substantial savings and optimal resource utilization.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Minimum 8 years of expertise as a GCP Cloud Architect.
  • Strong skills in AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Computing, Cloud Security, IAM, Lambda, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in CloudFormation, EKS, AKS, GKE, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, Python, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and related tools.
  • Experience in database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Mongo DB, NoSQL.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification is a must.
  • Additional certifications like Cloud Digital Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer are desirable.
