Job Title: GCP DevOps Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps/Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team at Saxon Global.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP and AWS.
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency while maintaining high performance and reliability.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure the health and availability of cloud services.
  • Apply SRE principles to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications and services.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to maintain service availability.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements to prevent future incidents.
  • Implement automation scripts and tools using Ansible, Terraform, and other automation technologies to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates to ensure consistency and repeatability of infrastructure deployments.
  • Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and testing.
  • Work closely with development teams to integrate CI/CD processes into their workflows.
  • Continuously improve and optimize CI/CD pipelines for speed, reliability, and security.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards for cloud infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with the security team to enhance the overall security posture of the cloud environment.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on cloud and DevOps technologies.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical team members and leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions on GCP and AWS.
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Strong experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Github Actions).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack, DataDog).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
