Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgical teams during operative procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-ups, and passing instruments to surgeons and nurses as needed.
  • Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of hospital surgical tech experience, required.
  • Basic computer skills, required.
  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program, required.
  • Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist, required.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association, required.
