Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Davies. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by analyzing and interpreting cytological specimens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate knowledge, theory, and practice to execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory and deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
  • Maintain competence in all Cytology practices and perform pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens.
  • Work cooperatively with physicians, clients, and staff to facilitate superior patient care and represent the laboratory positively.
  • Perform specific procedures and/or orient other staff to the department.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university or equivalent education/experience.
  • Certified Cytotechnologist.
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and technical competence in specimen collection and preparation, laboratory operations, interpretation, and quality assurance in cytology.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job duties and assigned tasks for completion within expected time-frames.
  • Ability to accurately, precisely, and reliably perform job duties and assigned tasks.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $63.38 to $79.22 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
