Laboratory/Cytology Specialist

At Diverse Lynx, we are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory/Cyto Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cytology and laboratory procedures, with the ability to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating knowledge, theory, and practice to execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory. With advanced training, they will maintain competence in all Cytology practices, performing pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens to aid healthcare providers in diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of disease.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to screen up to 80 GYN specimens per day. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university, ASCP-Certification as a Cytologist, and CDPH-Licensure as a Cytotechnologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute laboratory procedures in assigned areas, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Maintain competence in all Cytology practices, performing pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens.
- Screen up to 80 GYN specimens per day, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to aid in diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of disease.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
- ASCP-Certification as a Cytologist.
- CDPH-Licensure as a Cytotechnologist.
- 2 years recent relevant experience.
Work Schedule:
5 x 8 Days, Monday to Friday, with no weekend or on-call requirements.
