Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer position plays a crucial role in bridging customer requirements with our final product delivery. This role involves defining product specifications, developing and implementing cost-effective manufacturing processes, and coordinating overall manufacturing/sourcing methods for both new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret customer production specifications from drawings, text, samples, or application requirements.
- Analyze product material and configuration specifications to determine suitability of form, fit, and function.
- Analyze product specification and tolerance with regards to quality versus manufacturing process capabilities.
- Determine the manufacturing process, including product structure, manufacturing routing, outside service processes, and application of manufacturing engineering standards.
- Define product and raw material stock codes, including description, invoked industry standards, and revision levels.
- Prepare cost estimates in support of sales and customer service to determine prices and acknowledge quotations to customers.
- Prepare factory documentation, including drawings.
- Design and develop primary and alternate manufacturing processes capable of complying with product design requirements.
- Define and apply product scheduling, parameters, including calculation of lead time, definition of economic or other batch quantities, and determination of material supply requirements.
- Interface with production system and quality system personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
