Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address defective components in vehicles, ensuring optimal performance of gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Hydrate electric equipment in accordance with the established Hydration Schedule.
  • Perform repairs on all non-motorized equipment.
  • Program and operate the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID).
  • Manage tire and wheel repairs and replacements.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
  • Drive and operate service equipment vehicles safely.
  • Conduct accident inspections on involved equipment and report findings to Shop Supervisors and Managers.
  • Respond to radioed repair requests on the ramp.
  • Support the aircraft services team by providing timely preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment.
  • Safely operate all vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) while performing Daily Equipment Checks (DEC's).
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment, adhering to local health, safety, and security policies.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid US driver's license is required.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 70lbs comfortably.
  • Flexible availability for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to perform duties of other positions as operational needs arise.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required Airport Badges.
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience and training.

Working Conditions

Performs periodic maintenance and inspections on filters, pumps, valves, tanks, pressure controls, metering and gauging equipment, and company vehicles. Troubleshoot and repair the above-mentioned equipment as well as pipeline issues, electrical equipment, motors, switch gear, and lighting. Ensures that all work assigned is performed in a timely fashion with quality workmanship. Ensure through definitive methods that the product meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to an efficient operation while projecting a professional image for Menzies Aviation.
