Key Responsibilities
- Convert client specifications into program directives
- Oversee requirements management and ensure thorough verification and validation
- Direct the design and development of multi-mission spacecraft systems, providing essential technical guidance
- Establish mission operational concepts and manage subsystem resource allocations (e.g., power, data, mass, stability)
- Identify potential risks and devise effective mitigation strategies
- Coordinate changes across various disciplines throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct comprehensive design and readiness reviews
- Monitor the operational performance of spacecraft and data systems, ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Facilitate communication among systems engineers, software developers, and mission operations teams
- Contribute to the enhancement of engineering methodologies and tools to improve spacecraft development efficiency
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a multidisciplinary setting, ideally with a focus on spacecraft systems
- Significant experience in system modeling and analysis
- Proven track record in system integration and the delivery of intricate systems
- Experience in managing requirements for complex projects
- Strong problem-solving skills based on critical data analysis
- Demonstrated project management capabilities and collaboration with diverse engineering teams
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to shifting roles and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Julia
- A successful history of satellite mission execution
- Experience with remote sensing instruments across various modalities and their data processing
- Familiarity with industry standards for quality assurance in electrical and software domains
- Knowledge of software engineering practices and tools
