Key Responsibilities
  • Convert client specifications into program directives
  • Oversee requirements management and ensure thorough verification and validation
  • Direct the design and development of multi-mission spacecraft systems, providing essential technical guidance
  • Establish mission operational concepts and manage subsystem resource allocations (e.g., power, data, mass, stability)
  • Identify potential risks and devise effective mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate changes across various disciplines throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct comprehensive design and readiness reviews
  • Monitor the operational performance of spacecraft and data systems, ensuring compliance with client requirements
  • Facilitate communication among systems engineers, software developers, and mission operations teams
  • Contribute to the enhancement of engineering methodologies and tools to improve spacecraft development efficiency
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a multidisciplinary setting, ideally with a focus on spacecraft systems
  • Significant experience in system modeling and analysis
  • Proven track record in system integration and the delivery of intricate systems
  • Experience in managing requirements for complex projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills based on critical data analysis
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and collaboration with diverse engineering teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to shifting roles and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Julia
  • A successful history of satellite mission execution
  • Experience with remote sensing instruments across various modalities and their data processing
  • Familiarity with industry standards for quality assurance in electrical and software domains
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and tools
