Physician (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist)

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) to join our team at the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps in Falls Church, VA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation clinic.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physician (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation), you will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive medical evaluations and diagnoses for patients with a range of conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and multiple sclerosis.
- Developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans to help patients achieve maximum independence.
- Prescribing and directing a full range of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other rehabilitation services.
- Performing and interpreting electrophysiology tests, including electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction velocity (NCV), and repetitive stimulation studies (RSS).
- Providing pain management services, including trigger point and soft tissue injections, blocks, and acupuncture.
- Supervising and teaching physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be a Board Certified/Eligible Physician with a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from a recognized medical school.
- Hold a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
