At Manhattanview Healthcare Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Weekend RN Supervisor to join our team.
Job Summary:The Weekend RN Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the nursing unit, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents, and collaborating with doctors to provide safe and efficient treatment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise nursing staff, including scheduling and directing personnel
- Coordinate the effective use of personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities to provide safe and therapeutic care
- Communicate with physicians to ensure timely and appropriate interventions
- Review staffing patterns and census to ensure resident needs and budgetary controls are met
- Investigate complaints and take necessary action to resolve problems
- Assume responsibility for compliance with Federal, State, Local, and company regulations
- Explain procedures and treatments to residents
- Transcribe physician's orders to resident charts and medication/treatment cards
- Chart progress notes in an informative and factual manner
- Conduct frequent rounds to evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery
- Prepare equipment and aids for physician during treatment and examination
- Observe residents, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician
- Respond to emergency situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
- Participate in care conferences and investigations related to alleged abuse
- Ensure that documentation is completed daily and that team is aware of resident care plan
Current State Registered Nurse license with a minimum of 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good standing in the state registry is required.
