Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Concentra. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine medical and testing procedures under the direct supervision of treating clinicians.
- Ensure every patient is treated with quality clinical care and an excellent patient experience.
- Triages and dispositions all patients, assists providers during examinations and treatments, and prepares patients for physical examinations.
- Responsible for performing routine medical procedures, applying bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
- Dispenses medications and appliances as ordered by the treating clinician and in accordance with state regulations.
- Maintains and operates all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping.
- Completes quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, as well as testing processes used in the center.
- Manages patient flow and volume, keeps patients informed of expected wait times, and performs clerical tasks associated with patient care and proper record keeping.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school (credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations).
- Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific).
- Previous medical office experience preferred.
- Competitive hourly rate in the state range of $20.88 to $27.14.
