Infectious Disease Specialist

The Staff Physician, Infectious Diseases, provides high-quality patient care services in a licensed diagnostic and treatment center. As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, this role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Provide Infectious Disease Consultation to adult patients on-site in clinic with an interdisciplinary approach.
- Participate in a rotating weekly phone-based call system to address urgent patient communications, ED visits, hospital admissions, and panic lab values.
- Teaching/Training
- Precept students, residents, and other medical staff during elective rotations at Trillium Health.
- Obtain 100 or more CME credits every two years to remain eligible for medical staff credentialing and commercial insurance credentialing.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete all clinical documentation within 3 business days of medical treatment.
- Participate in quarterly Ongoing Peer Reviews and Focused Peer Reviews as assigned.

Preferred qualifications include a M.D. or D.O. degree and Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine, with a Fellowship in Infectious Disease or HIV specialist physicians credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
Physical RequirementsThe Staff Physician, Infectious Diseases, must be able to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Occasional stooping, bending, lifting, or moving up to 25 lbs. may be required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
