Job Summary

Helio Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient Program team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary treatment team, you will provide medical and counseling services to clients in a variety of clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services and interpret medical information to clients
• Monitor and document clients' medical status, signs and symptoms of withdrawal, and report to supervisor or medical director
• Work with other medical staff for continuity of clients' medical care
• Communicate with clinical staff regarding clients' medical concerns
• Provide direct client care of medical assessment, implementation of medical orders, communicable and infectious disease reporting in accordance with the law
• Provide public health and screening protocols
• Provide and document medical consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning and review consistency with agency policy and requirements

Requirements

• Must be a licensed practical nurse currently registered by the New York State Education Department
• Experience and/or training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency preferred
• Bilingual candidates preferred
• Basic computer skills required
