Job Summary

This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Radiology Department for the provision of imaging services at Cone Health. The position is accountable for staff supervision while ensuring cost-effective, high-quality Radiology services across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direction for imaging modalities to include: Diagnostic Radiology, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, and Radiology Administration by demonstrating leadership competencies.
  • Collaborates with physicians from Greensboro Radiology and other members of the medical staff to ensure quality comprehensive imaging services are delivered.
  • Develops goals and objectives to maximize utilization/productivity of staff to facilitate operational efficiency.
  • Monitors and optimizes employee and patient satisfaction results. Recommends and implements action plans for improvement.
  • Validates departmental orientation, skills fairs, technical and support competencies and staff development are completed annually and documented in employee transcripts.
  • Defines and monitors measurable outcomes that are evidence-based.
  • Assists/participates in the selection and supervision of personnel.
  • Assists with budget development and monitoring of variances.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program
  • EXPERIENCE: Required
  • Minimum of 3 years, Healthcare
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: REQUIRED
  • ARRT (R) | Radiologic Technologist - Dx
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
  • Credentialed in a relevant field of radiologic technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or other licensing body for imaging (MR, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Interventional) and AHA BLS CPR.
