Job Title: LPN - Hot Springs Float Pool

At EngageMED, Inc., we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Float Pool department. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, the LPN will function as a vital member of the healthcare team, demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork. The LPN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
  • Collect patient data such as vital signs, note how the patient looks and acts, or responds to stimuli, and report this information accordingly.
  • Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds, and change bandages.
  • Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
  • Administer certain prescribed medications, and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of basic nursing processes, and understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards patients.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

We offer a part-time, variable hour position that allows you to make your own schedule, accrue PTO, and enjoy six paid holidays (4 hours each).
