Position Overview:
As a key technical leader, you will address complex technical challenges, act as a liaison with ship design managers, and engage with industry stakeholders as the Program's primary technical authority.

Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve technical issues related to Life Cycle Support (LCS) and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Prioritize program funding and oversee engineering efforts executed by Naval Surface Warfare Centers.
- Serve as the principal technical representative, collaborating with Fleet entities to ensure alignment with program objectives.

Innovation and Development:
- Foster the creation and exchange of innovative concepts, principles, and methodologies.
- Supervise technical and administrative staff, managing program operations effectively.

Project Management:
- Establish priorities and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide expert guidance to senior personnel on critical engineering challenges.

Evaluation and Investigation:
- Lead teams in assessing design and engineering issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
- Recommend design modifications and coordinate technical interfaces to enhance project outcomes.

Communication:
- Maintain robust communication channels with both internal and external stakeholders across government and industry.

Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and suitable for federal employment.
- Required to obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to employment.
- A professional engineering degree or equivalent experience in managing ship design projects is essential.

Additional Information:
- This position may require travel to various locations, including remote sites.
- The role is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), necessitating certification in the relevant Acquisition Functional Area.
