Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver prompt, courteous, and high-quality service to all policyholders and claimants.
  • Collect essential information to initiate claims and clarify policy details and coverage options.
  • Manage a portfolio of claims, establishing initial reserves and adjusting as necessary.
  • Investigate and assess coverage for commercial property loss claims.
  • Prepare appraisals for property repairs or collaborate with field appraisers to ensure appraisal accuracy.
  • Clarify coverage details, assist with damage itemization, and provide guidance on mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to state regulations, policy provisions, and operational protocols.
  • Engage with all parties involved to negotiate fair settlements within authorized limits.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of claims guidelines and process enhancements.
  • Oversee external investigative services and collaborate closely with clients and their legal representatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply if they meet other qualifications).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in property claims, specifically in commercial property.
  • Experience in desk and/or field appraisal.
  • Possession of active adjuster licenses, with a commitment to obtaining all necessary licenses promptly.
  • Familiarity with state regulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions based on established guidelines.
  • A strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client and claims needs.
