Airport Operations Manager

This role is responsible for ensuring that employees provide exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of staff management and development.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of airline station operations, including staff management and development.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a positive attitude, integrity, and a sense of humor, while promoting employee development and inclusion.
- Communicate effectively with all departments and management, ensuring timely and responsible exchange of information.
- Develop and maintain positive business relationships with local airport authorities and agencies, as well as contract carriers.
- Manage station staffing levels and budgeting, ensuring efficient operations.
- Ensure all employees meet initial and recurrent training requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews and station performance planning, identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure efficient station operations.
- Attend regular corporate meetings in Hyannis, as required, and participate in additional duties as assigned.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is essential.
- Proven experience in budgeting, interviewing, disciplinary action, performance planning, payroll, and scheduling is required.
- Ability to enforce policy and procedure, as well as build and maintain airport regulatory relationships, is essential.
- Must be able and willing to travel, including short and long haul trips, and work non-standard hours, especially during special events.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are required, as well as the ability to interact effectively with others and work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel is necessary, along with a genuine desire to serve internal and external customers, build relationships, and work collaboratively.
- Able to multitask in a stressful environment and possess strong customer service and oral/written communication skills.
- Must meet the same basic job qualifications as all station agents, including being at least 18 years old, holding a high school diploma or equivalent, and possessing a valid driver's license if required for the location.
This role requires exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and embodies the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit.
