We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Private Duty Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to students in Prince George's County, MD. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will work one-on-one with each student, following doctor's orders and nursing care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized nursing care to students with complex medical needs, including ventilator/tracheostomy, catheterizations, g-tube feedings, trach care, suctioning, and administration of medication.
- Assess and document nursing care needs, ensuring that all medical orders are current and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with parents and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide basic first aid, wound care, and dressing changes as needed.
- Document and implement physician's orders, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Maryland.
- At least 3 years of experience in pediatric nursing, with a focus on private duty nursing.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
