- Handle Cash and Credit Transactions: Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment securely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure Order Accuracy: Confirm items and prices with service staff and guests, verifying any modifications or special requests.
- Maintain a Clean and Organized Cashier Station: Ensure the cashier station is clean and organized, including restocking supplies, cleaning surfaces, and arranging menus or promotional materials.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, providing a positive experience for all customers.
- Balance Cash Drawers and Reconcile Transactions: Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift, following proper accounting procedures.
- Follow Safety and Sanitation Guidelines: Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or food service establishment.
- POS System Experience: Experience handling cash transactions and operating POS systems with accuracy and efficiency.
- Guest-Facing Experience: Guest-facing experience, demonstrating the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and coworkers.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally, and move around the restaurant.
