We are looking for a part-time Restorative Nurse Assistant to join our team, working a morning shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm. If you are a new graduate or an experienced professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting for duty, ensuring a smooth transition of care.
• Follow established policies and procedures for exposure to blood and body fluids, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.
• Conduct thorough interviews with residents to determine their treatment needs and schedule therapy sessions accordingly.
• Select and implement rehabilitative and therapeutic activities and exercises tailored to each resident's medical and social history.
• Collaborate with physicians and therapy personnel to evaluate and implement the most effective therapy plans.
• Participate in the development and implementation of resident assessments and care plans, including quarterly reviews, to ensure the highest level of care.
• Brief residents on procedures involved in restorative care and prepare necessary equipment, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from therapy rooms, promoting their mobility and independence.
• Demonstrate and instruct residents and staff on procedures involved in the treatment process, fostering a culture of education and teamwork.
• Perform restorative care treatments in residents' rooms, adapting to their individual needs and preferences.
• Reassure residents before and during therapy treatment, providing emotional support and comfort.
• Prepare residents for treatment by dressing and positioning them, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Encourage residents to perform or participate in activities of daily living (ADLs) and range of motion exercises, promoting their independence and mobility.
• Instruct and supervise residents during therapy, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Assist residents in ambulatory training, helping them to regain their mobility and confidence.
Requirements:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
• Current Restorative Nurse Assistant certification (RNA).
• English language proficiency (required).
• United States work authorization (required).
• Ability to pass a background check.
