Job Title: Youth Advocate

Job Summary:

Ruby's Place is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Advocate to join our team. As a Youth Advocate, you will provide support and guidance to young individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. Your role will involve working closely with our clients to help them build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide emotional support and guidance to young individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.

  2. Develop and implement individualized plans to help clients achieve their goals and build confidence.

  3. Work closely with clients to identify and address their needs, providing referrals to relevant services as needed.

  4. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to client care.

  5. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in working with vulnerable populations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly young individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.

  • Knowledge of local resources and services available to support vulnerable populations.
