Job SummaryA Registered Behavioral Health Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT is responsible for the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in the Autism Spectrum Disorder Outpatient Program.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a positive helping relationship with individuals receiving services.
- Assist individuals in completing activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources and building functional relationships with others.
- Ensure the safety of individuals receiving services.
- Implement specific interventions according to the individual's treatment or service plan.
- Monitor and document individual progress.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience working directly with seriously emotionally disturbed children or seriously mentally ill adults, or completed two years of college classes or certified as a behavioral health technician or mental health professional.
- Certified as a Registered Behavioral Health Technician (RBT) or eligible for certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board within 90 days of hire.
