Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. As a trauma fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon, you will provide surgical and non-surgical care to complex orthopedic trauma patients.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, serving 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform surgery on complex orthopedic cases, including pelvic fractures, long bone and intra-articular fractures, and upper and lower extremities.
  • Participate in emergency call schedules for orthopedic surgery and contribute to ACS trauma multi-disciplinary activities.
  • Teach orthopedic surgery residents, medical students, physician assistants, and other personnel.
  • Conduct quality initiatives and critical reviews of orthopedic trauma consultations seen in the Emergency Department and In-Patient units.
Qualifications
  • Certified Orthopedic Surgeon or Board Eligible with an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
  • Current licensed NYS registration certificate.
