Salary: $425,000 per year
Job Description:
As a Pediatric Surgeon at PAGNY, you will be employed by NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, located in the heart of Brooklyn. The hospital accommodates more than 518,076 outpatient visits, more than 141,328 emergency room visits, and has 627 beds, with more than 25,000 inpatient admissions annually. You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare to our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Direct patient care as a Pediatric Surgeon, performing complex surgical procedures and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and teach house staff and other members of the surgical/medical team to promote professional growth and development.
- Attend weekly staff conferences to stay updated on best practices and new developments in pediatric surgery.
- Maintain standards of performance for physicians and other professional employees working in the service.
- Perform related work as required or directed by the Chief of Service or Director of Service.
- Take necessary precautions to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Current NYS registration certificate
- Current DEA licensed certification
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery
- Graduated from an approved medical school
- Completion of an approved residency in pediatric surgery
- ACLS/ATLS/PALS certification or eligible to obtain
