Position SummaryThe Entry End Operator plays a crucial role in initiating the production workflow. This position involves managing the line entry tasks related to material distribution. Your expertise could make you an ideal candidate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities- Analyze the Production Schedule.
- Oversee the line entry processes for material distribution.
- Load entry coil carts with the appropriate coils.
- Conduct micrometer gauge checks, width, and appearance assessments, reporting any deviations from established standards to the shift supervisor.
- Document coil identification details and maintain accurate records.
- Operate entry stations to effectively charge coils into the coating line following established protocols.
- Monitor materials during the uncoiling process and oversee overall plant operations.
- Calculate footage and/or weights for specific tasks accurately.
- Effectively manage the coating line tension leveler, making necessary adjustments for optimal sheet shape.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding plant operations.
- Operate line controls, often requiring simultaneous use of both hands.
- Assist in unpacking coils for loading onto the coating line.
- Inspect coils for passivation.
- Input and retrieve data from the AS/400 mainframe and IPM systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 6S standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school level of literacy and numeracy, with the ability to read labels, meters, gauges, documents, and instructions. Additional qualifications include:
- A minimum of six months of experience in an industrial warehouse setting, including forklift operation.
- Capability to safely use small manual and electric hand tools.
- Willingness to work up to 12 hours per day or night, including weekends and holidays.
- Preferred experience of 6 to 12 months on a coating line.
